The Mumford Collection of postcards
A large collection of postcards from various members of the Pittam family dating from the first two decades of the Twentieth century. Some predate the First World War and concern domestic arrangements and conversations. Many are from the first World War including a good selection of embroidered postcards from France and Belgium illustrating various sentiments from and to loved ones serving overseas. Some illustrated actual events in the First World War.
