Most are adults although there are some children including a young child sitting on the shoulder of a man in uniform. To the left of them is a baby in a large bonnet with a dummy in its mouth. All adults and children wear hats. Girls and younger women in white/pale clothing. Men and older women in darker clothing. “CHARLTON FLOWER SHOW 1913″ is written at the top left of the postcard. The card is addressed to Mrs E Pittam, Castlethorpe, Nr Stony Stratford, Bucks” and the message reads “don’t forget [?] [Songs?] & my flower cuttings Dear A Monday will do very well but let me know what train to [meet?] I wrote to Ursie last wednesday night and old Jack at [E P C] but I’ve not heard from him yet I expect another beauty from him be sure and let him come Monday as they start school that day I missed the post last night as I was busy at home and forgot it I should have kept [?]another week or [???????????]
