Coloured photographic postcard of a lock on the river Thames. There is a building on the right bank and a lockkeepers’ cottage behind trees. “Sonning Lock” is written in the top left hand corner. The card is addressed to Mrs E Pittam High Street Castlethorpe Stony Stratford Bucks. The message reads “Your two P.P.C received. I don’t suppose we shall get any flowers as we don’t see Ursie very often. She came last (?) she said you had not written to her + so did Min last night. I think you might have written to them it wouldn’t have taken many minutes but still you don’t gain these (cards?) thing by it as I am (?) I’d have told you before (?) hope you are all well with love (?). The card is franked RICHMOND SURREY 11 Pm ap 5 07.
