Aug 15 Fri. ‘Arrived at Aberdeen about 9.20. Found everybody out, which looked a nice state of things, our first visit to Scotland’.
Aug 19 Tues. ‘Went to Ballater, the day the King went to Balmoral. Scenery beyond description’.
Aug 25. ‘Bay of Nig all day. It is just grand all this wild rockery, miles and miles of it. Evening went to Bieldside and Mansfield right out in country, saw a lovely sunset, air grand’.
Aug 28 Thur. ‘Left No. 2 Rosylon Terrace at 5.30 to catch train 6.10. Had comfortable journey arriving home 8.15’.
