April 21 Sun. ‘What dreadful news of the Titanic over 1,000 lives lost by the largest boat in the world, it is Heart-rending to read the paper. We had special Hymns of sea for them in church, the services was awfully impressive.’
July 13 Sat. ‘Went to Hanslope Cycle Carnival with my byke decorated as a green house high over my head.’
Aug 9 Fri. ‘Our stay in Falmouth is drawing to a close now. We went by steamer to St. Mawes, St. Anthony, Percivil, getting home in time for dinner.’
Oct 9 Wed. ‘…Afterward went to meeting to Protest against the old vicar, so now we have hopes of getting him kicked out of the Church, as things have got to such a pitch.’
Dec 25 Wed. ‘Win, Ed and Ern came, had a jolly time especially with mistletoe, and dancing.’
