Great Linford Manor Park - Revealing, Reviving and Restoring the Heritage
Thanks to a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) and Big Lottery Fund (BLF) The Parks Trust have secured a Parks for People grant for a project to Reveal, Revive and Restore the heritage at Great Linford Manor Park. Working with Living Archive MK the team plan to collect people’s memories and photographs of the park.
Do you remember the ponds before they were restored by Milton Keynes Development Corporation in the 1970s/1980s?
Do you remember the Doric Seat/ Pavilion in the Wilderness Garden?
Do you remember when people were living in the Almshouses?
Do you remember when the Manor was used as an Arts Centre and the Sculpture Exhibition of 1982?
Do you have any memories of when trains ran between Newport Pagnell and Wolverton through the park?
Please get in touch with Living Archive MK if you’ve got some memories to share with the project.
