This phoenix in stainless steel is by Tim Ward. It was commissioned by Wolverton Society for Arts & Heritage to celebrate the Wolverton Regeneration Project with the aid of a grant from Milton Keynes Community Foundation. It is mounted on top of one of the station columns, rescued when the station was sadly demolished in 1989. It includes an innovative lighting system donated from Holophane.
