I’ve just found out that my grandmother Bridget Jackson owned/ran The Galleon in the late 1940s after my grandfather was killed in the war in 1945. Does anyone have any details on this?
Used to go to the Galleon pub during teenage years 1950,s regularly Often at weekends Bertha Willmott a famous singer and actress came and sang played on a grand piano along side Billy Cotton who had his own band signature saying “Wakey Wakey ” Birtha married Reginald Seymore lived and died in Northampton 1973 Wow what wonderful memory these weekends were carried on going when married to John now age 84 (maiden name Goodman married name Osborne 23-05 -2023
