May comments on the death of Lord Kitchener, and that the fact that Reg has been wounded and brought back to hospital in England. She talks about a photo she had done of herself, and comments on the weather. She says there are no holidays and she might go to Bedford at the weekend. She talks about the young boys in Wolverton having to enlist and how some have already gone to France to work on the railways. She talks about his imminent 17th birthday and hopes he will drop her a line soon. She sends her love.
