North Loughton Valley Park
North Loughton Valley Park
“Parks are a vital part of Milton Keynes’ identity as a new kind of city. Thousands of acres of parkland bring the countryside and wildlife within reach of residents and visitors, providing a variety of landscapes and ample space for outdoor recreation.”
“The North Loughton Valley Park is a tranquil green corridor alongside the Loughton Brook, which enters the city at Tattenhoe Park in the southwest and flows to join the River Ouse at New Bradwell in the north. A walk in the northern section will lead you through a variety of different landscapes, from formally designed shrub beds, trees and short grass to unmanaged scrubby areas with a wealth of wildlife.”
Around the labelled drawing of North Loughton Valley Park, the leaflet provides information on the contrasting areas of the park, the range of wildlife, the history of the land and surrounding buildings, the surfaced park suitable for a pleasant walk and Lodge Lake’s role as a balancing lake.
There is contact information and information on other publications.
