Interview with Diane Roder
Diane moved to Milton Keynes in 1975 when her husband took a job with the MK Development Corporation. She talks about her early memories, recalling that there was no hospital or city centre, and that it was so muddy that she sent her children to school in wellington boots. One of her earliest memories is visiting Milton Keynes Museum, where she became a volunteer making corn dollies. She still volunteers, and now the runs the onsite café.
