The film starts with Interior shots of the theatre, stage and auditorium in preparation for “A Servant to Two Masters”. Views of the set being constructed, positioned and pieces attached to the rigging are shown and the setting up of the lights.
00:10:19 the film cuts to backstage and silver chests containing costumes
00:11:30 the film cuts back to the stage where the floor is being prepared. A man sat in the auditorium wearing headphones and a mike is shown. The stage lighting is then being tested. We see more final preparations on stage. The film briefly cuts to a control desk before cutting back to the stage which is being vacuumed. The scenery is being painted and cleaned.
00:14:54 the film cuts to show a control desk in a booth behind the auditorium and a man working and talking through headphones.
00:18:46 the film cuts back to a man painting the floor of the set before panning across to the man sat in the auditorium.
00:19:41 this scene opens with ironing of the costumes ready for the performance, it includes a shot of two wigs, and the washing and drying of the costumes.
00:25:23 the scene cuts to the rigging system above the stage then to the lighting and sound area again for tests, the same bit of music is played at different levels, then the actors go through their lines on stage whilst the lighting and sound are still tested.
