The film starts in the dressing rooms showing Paul Bentall, who plays Pantaloon, dressing and doing his hair.
00:03:17 the scene changes to the auditorium as the seats fill.
00:06:30 the play begins, “A Servant to Two Masters” is announced then violins play, the stage is lit and the actors perform.
00:07:23 the scene changes to the booking office in reception where people are buying and collecting tickets. There are general views of the foyer and shots from outside of people entering for the matinee. Programme seller’s mill through the crowds as the people head to the auditorium.
00:16:13 the scene changes to inside the auditorium again, people are taking their seats as “A Servant to Two Masters” is announced by an actor on stage and violins play, the first act begins as the lights go up. The camera is on the opposite side of the stage than earlier in the film.
00:19:53 the scene changes again to posters for plays at the theatre, showing: “A Servant to Two Masters” (17-21 October), “Hamlet & Twelfth Night” ,”Goldilocks And The 3 Bears” (14 December 2000 – 21 January 2001) and “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”.
00:20:39 the film cuts to a view of the pillars outside the theatre showing the poster for “Goldilocks and the Three Bears”. People arrive for the play, this time for an evening performance.
00:25:05 the film cuts back indoors and we see people entering through door number 1. We have general views of the foyer before cutting to the sign for “THE BUSINESS BAR”. The film then shows general views of the bars, foyer, souvenir shop and lift.
00:31:06 the film cuts to show people in the auditorium. “A Servant to Two Masters” is announced by an actor on stage and violins play, the first act begins as the lights go up.
