Interview with Roger Harrison.
Roger Harrison was employed as a civil engineer with Milton Keynes Development Corporation, and in the early 1970s worked on housing infrastructure for estates such as Tinkers Bridge and Netherfield. He talks of his work, family life for pioneer settlers and life at MKDC. In 1981 he was seconded to the Council of Voluntary Organisations to work on setting up Milton Keynes Community Trust, to provide a fund for charitable giving to support local voluntary organisations when MKDC ended. Though not living in MK now, he notes whenever he visits that it is still changing, which indicates its success: ‘Any new town needs to be able to develop organically.’
