E. Harrington HFC/003/001 September 1932 Newspaper article about two presentations to Mr A. E. Harrington. The first by St Martin’s Church, and the second by the Bletchley Musical Society. Photograph of presentation to Albert Harrington HFC/003/002 Photograph of presentation of a silver cup to Albert Harrington. The contributor didn’t know the reason for this presentation but wrote that it could have been for his music. He was involved with the Bletchley Operatic Society and was a church organist for many years. Two Bletchley Trades Exhibition 1937 pamphlets. They are identical except the orange one was bought (for twopence) while the grey one was a complimentary copy because the Harringtons were exhibiting. The pamphlets have 20 pages, with adverts, descriptions of the exhibits, opening ceremony and television shows. The article on Television says “The Television Station at ... Issued by the Authority of the Bletchley Council, it contains 56 pages with adverts, articles, photos, a road and railway map of the district, and a business index. Produced by Bletchley Chamber of Trade for Bletchley Urban District Council, it contains 72 pages with adverts, articles, photos, and a detailed street map (with a Key to Buildings and an Index to Streets).
