Harrington Family Collection
A collection of items about the Harrington Family of Bletchley during the period 1871 to 1997, including documents, photographs, letters and newspaper cuttings. The family were noted for their shop in Victoria Street, Bletchley called HARRINGTONS HANDCRAFTS, which traded for 34 years. The family were active in the Bletchley Amateur Operatic Society in the 1950s and many opera programmes and photos are included. The Contributor of this collection was Joan Harrington, who was married to Eddie Harrington. Eddie was the only child of Albert and Margery Harrington who are the main focus of the family history, and who set up and ran the Harringtons Handcraft shop.
