Oral history audio recording of Hawtin Mundy (b.1894) and his experiences in the army in World War One.
Interview with Hawtin Mundy. Covers his return to the HQ in Aylesbury after being wounded and training with the boxing team; became a member of the military police and then recruited in Wolverton in 1915; returned to France to Hebertune and was injured in the arm; retuned to the Somme then was shipped back to Sheffield as walking wounded; tried to return home following a telegram from his mother saying his brother had been drafted overseas and was nearly court marshalled for desertion. Returned to France.
