Julia Upton’s Zerena Project File
Julia was a new teacher at Newlyn Place School in 1988. She kept a file (without the knowledge of the authorities!) of original children’s schoolwork inspired by the alien Zerena’s visit to Newlyn Place School.
The file features drawings and writing for a special school newspaper, NEWLYN NEWS, created by children during Zerena’s stay at the school in 1988, Much of this work was displayed at The Science Museum in London which the whole school visited following Zerena’s departure in July 1988. The file also features a letter to Anglia TV.
