B Morton They/he
B Morton identifies as queer, agender-ish and trans and was born in Milton Keynes in 1994. They defined ‘agender’ as being not fussed by gender as a concept. They joined the Queer Youth Network at age 15 and found many online friends. Also at 15, they joined the Youth Group and Trans Group at Q:alliance. At the time of the interview they helped run Q:youth and Q:hub. They described providing these safe spaces as a personal full-circle moment. The biggest change they had seen in youth provision was the increased interaction between young people and staff; for Q:alliance as a whole it was the increase in the options available. They founded the Birmingham Non-Binary Group and got involved in BiCamp. They had been on the committee of BiCamp for five years at the time of the interview. Key moments for them had been MK PRIDE in 2012 and attending London PRIDE on the Pink Punters Rainbow Bus at age 18. They like PRIDEs to have a community feel. They have attended the last three MK PRIDEs as staff with Q:alliance.
