Bradwell Windmill Project (2026)
Milton Keynes City Council is leading on the Bradwell Windmill Project which celebrates the heritage and history of Bradwell Windmill as a key heritage and community attraction for Milton Keynes. Made possible with funding from The National Lottery Heritage Fund, Milton Keynes Museum and the City Council, the project is running for 2 years until the end of 2026.
The project will see major restoration works to the mill itself, as well as a public programme inviting local residents to build a deeper connection with the heritage of the area, the site, the natural environment and food heritage.
The resulting collection is part of the community outreach programme led by Living Archive to collect photos and memories, and includes:
26 photographs of the Windmill from the early 20th century through to summer 2025.
A postcard, two artworks and a set of 8 exhibition panels of the Windmill.
37 photographs taken by Robb Webb during a guided walk for Heritage Open days on 20/09/2025.
Summaries of 6 interviews with local people who have connections to the Windmill.
