Homeworld was the first of three international housing exhibitions held in Milton Keynes. It was planned by Milton Keynes Development Corporation – the government agency responsible for developing the New City between 1967-92. The exhibition ran for the month of May in 1981 and more than 150,000 people paid to come and “see what’s happening to houses”. Posters advertised special rail and entrance deals – some aimed at attracting commuters to come and live in Milton Keynes. There is more information about the Homeworld exhibition and a walking trail on the MK Trails App – Click here for link
