Written on the front cover ‘Pte S E Williams 84011 RAMC. 33 Field Ambulance II Div. 69 Reinfor II Div, 45 Aylesbury St Wolverton Bucks England’. The diary contains daily events in the trenches as a Private in 33. Field Ambulance 11. He describes the shelling of the British troops at Ypres and the terrible living conditions
