I was in No.5 Woodbine Terrace until 1966, the small buildings below the line of houses are the outside toilets and in the winter it was horrible to have to run across the cobbled road to get to the toilet and it used to be newpaper to use not toilet paper that didn’t happen until we moved to 4 Whitby Close, in the Abbeys Est in 1966 when we had indoor toilets.
