Postcard sent from Anthony Le Jeune, Dinan, Cotes-du-Nord, France to Mrs Anne Rissik, Hurlingham, London. On 1 side are the addresses and the postmark and stamps, on the reverse is the message ‘OCT:10 1/99. 2nd p.card. All well here, and am expecting your news. The American Army liberated us on Aug 11th, at the ..?.. villages where we were interred, on parole for 3 1/2 years. We were put to very little discomfort, considering our conditions generally and we are both in very good health. Bernard had begun to show the ..?.. of 5 ys ..?.. of war but is with us here and picking up fast. We are hoping to hear, now, direct – from some of the family, as postal facilities are getting ..?.., and so, we await a word from some of our circle in England. With love to all Anthony Le Jeune’
