During the early 1970s the Bletchley Youth Centre (under the leadership of Barrie Field) ran a Sunday live concert night called Esmeralda’s. Bands that became world famous performed, including Genesis, Status Quo, Arthur Brown, Black Sabbath, Van Der Graaf Generator, Wishbone Ash, Kevin Ayers and Strawbs. This collection of 64 tickets records many of those concerts. They are presented in chronological order.
What memories, I did the lightshows for these concerts as Solar Prism Lights (David Hone) . I remember setting up my projectors on a stack of tables at the back of the hall. Wish I had had my later photography interest then, what an archive that would have been !
Great times, possibly the best years.
