In the centre of the photo is a section of the old Common Lane. The near 90-degree bend was where the old bridleway headed off to Woughton on the Green.

Fascinating to see Lloyds Court under construction there – in what – 1974/5? And to think it’s where I worked for MKDC Housing from 1981-86, my first job out of school.
