Osazeme Osaghae
Osazeme Osaghae was born in September 1995, in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Whilst he was growing up, he lived in Germany and Switzerland; he came to Milton Keynes whilst doing GCSEs. Before he came, he had heard that MK was an up-and-coming city, but also quite green. He was impressed by the sense of innovation and newness and felt that Milton Keynes was a forward-thinking city. He enjoys sports and visiting restaurants, especially for Nigerian food.
He is a freelance journalist; his first degree was in journalism. Currently he also works at a special needs school in Aylesbury.
He thinks of Milton Keynes as a creative place, but that sometimes this creativity goes unnoticed. His favourite area of the city is the city centre; he enjoys the fact that
you’re never too away from your favourite places there but it’s still relatively quiet. He enjoys accessing nature, nature walks; as his family has always lived near near Central Milton Keynes, he enjoys the proximity of Campbell Park and Willen Lake. He thinks Milton Keynes is vibrant, innovative and forward-thinking; he also believes that a university would increase opportunities for innovation, careers, training and skills development.
He talks about the Black History Month exhibition in the centre:mk which he enjoyed last year; he enjoys the fact that MK is such a multicultural city, and appreciates that it feels like a real community.
