Nnenna Bamgboye
Nnenna Bamgboye was born in 1963 in Lagos, Nigeria. She lived in London for most of her life; she moved to Milton Keynes in 2015 because her brother was already living here. She now works as an administrator at the Radcliffe School. Having visited her brother many times in the school holidays, she liked the peace and the green of the city and its convenience for cycling and dog walking. She says people are friendly and have more time for each other here.
She says the main struggle with Milton Keynes is the lack of effective public transport and the reliance on cars (she often depends on taxis or car shares to get around). She is now learning to drive. She thinks the city is getting congested and that it will get more and more busy as extra houses are built.
She thinks there should be more activities and services for young people in Milton Keynes. She attends a Pentecostal Church which she enjoys; there is a Women’s group and Youth group there. She is planning to move back to Nigeria after she retires.
