Blake Antwi
Blake Antwi was born in London in 1994. He was 18 when his father moved the family to Milton Keynes. He noticed it was quieter than London, with more trees and with horse manure smells. He went to College in Watford, then to University, then into Teacher Training and then to work as an Art Teacher.
He lives in Bletchley. His hobbies are photography and the gym. The gym helped him make friends in the early days. He has recently collaborated with a musician in his photography. He feels that culture and creativity are growing, and, with the growing population, there will be more competition creatively.
Over time he has noticed a lot more buildings, but he wouldn’t like it to become too urban. He likes the green spaces and that there are proper things to do without spending money. He likes that people are friendlier than in London, but also that he can zone out. He dislikes that everything closes early and there is less party life.
He thinks Milton Keynes will keep its roundabouts and grid. There will be more building and people will continue to move out of London. But, as house prices increase, they will move further north.
He would like the Museum to have time and space for creative collaboration.
