The bedstone was the lower, stationary, grindstone.
From Blue Bridge to Wolverton.
The images show the south, middle and north of the mural. It was painted on the wall of the Railway Works on the west side of the Grand Union Canal by Bill Billings and completed in 1984. At the time – at 160 metres – it was believed to be the longest mural in England.
The sculpture was created in 2007 by Bill Billings, Paul Smith and pupils at Radcliffe School.
Wolverton Park was originally a house built c1720 and its estate. It now incorporates historic buildings, modern flats and what was the LNWR sports ground.
