Italy is in Europe.
It is a boot shaped country that kicks into
the Mediterranean sea. The Islands of Sicily
and Sardinia are also part of Italy. The weather
is hot in the summer and cold in the winter.
In the North it is particularly cold. Rome,
the capital city is to the south of the country
and is home to the Vatican City. This is where
the Pope lives. He is the head of the Catholic
Church and most Italians are Roman Catholic.
