Barbados is in the Caribbean, the eastern-most island in the Lesser Antilles. Its capital is Bridgetown, located on the south western side of the island. Originally a volcano, this island is one of the smallest in the Caribbean. It has incredibly fertile soil and high rainfall enabling the intensive farming of sugar cane, rotated with cotton and corn.
