St Mary The Virgin Clifton Reynes – History Talk
September 12, 2026 11:30 AM - 12:30 PM at St Mary The Virgin, Church Lane, Clifton Reynes MK46 5DT
This Grade 1 listed church is in the heart of this small rural village. The earliest part of it dates from the 12th century and the Reynes family, from which the village gets its name, added significantly to the building in later years. It contains a fascinating set of monuments, including six carved effigies of high quality, four of which are in oak – extremely rare survivors and of national significance. These tombs, and the Reynes family, will be the subject for the talk.
