Our historic house, gardens and gallery are open! Relive Georgian life at the home of William Cowper, the renowned 18th century poet and discover how his friend John Newton’s experiences inspired him to write the hymn Amazing Grace here in Olney. Wander through the gardens full of medicinal plants and heritage fruit and vegetables. Visit our new exhibition Quackery And Enlightenment: A Journey through Georgian Medicine and take part in the Children’s Trail. Subject to our volunteer being available, there will be a talk on Cucumbers in the 18th Century.
