Interview about events at Bletchley Railway Club, the bands and atmosphere.
Jean Cooper recalls attending the Railway Club near Bletchley Station on Saturday nights with her husband and two daughters; it was a ‘big, big treat’ to go there, have a drink and see a really good act; she mentions seeing the Barron Knights and Frank Ifield, and a comedy duo called the Minitones. There was a membership fee for the club, and drinks were cheap. She and her daughters remember the very smoky atmosphere; there was a dance floor and a DJ played music for dancing before the main act came on stage.
