Interview with Suzanne Nti.
Suzanne Nti was born in Hammersmith of a Ghanaian father and Dutch mother. Brought up and educated in Ghana, she moved to the UK to study law and then lived in the Netherlands from 1992 to 1995, moving to the UK for her husband to take an M.B.A. She talks of their decision to move to Milton Keynes as their family grew, to find a community for the children to grow up in. The children all settled well, making friends through playing football, school and activities, youth groups, church, etc. Walnut Tree is a close-knit community. She herself makes friends very fast, as a ‘people person’.
She talks about their employment, running her own business, then doing an M.B.A. and finally setting up a new church and becoming its minister . She recalls her first crusade held at Tinkers Bridge and describes the operation of the church. She praises the MK facilities, architecture and design. She is excited about the plans to expand MK and hopes for creative design of the new housing. For the future, she doesn’t know what might happen, but says: ‘I believe that we’re here by God and I’m at total peace with being here.’
