Nisha Makwana
Nisha Makwana was born in Nairobi, Kenya in 1973. She met her husband in London and moved there initially; they moved to Milton Keynes twenty years ago because of its convenience for commuting. She didn’t know much about Milton Keynes before moving here but found it peaceful and quiet. She currently lives in Bletchley. She enjoys walking and using the redways, and likes the access to green spaces and lakes; she has a number of family members who have moved to Milton Keynes from London because pollution was exacerbating their asthma; their condition has improved here. She would like to have access to a greater diversity of cultural foodstuffs and restaurants. She thinks Milton Keynes might become overpopulated in the future, and also foresees an increase in technologies like electric cars and robots. She likes the Peace Pagoda in Willen Lake and enjoyed the Festival of Culture Festivals.
