Exhibition by Japanese artist Tsugumi Ota at the Open University Library
The film is focused on the exhibition of a Japanese artist called Tsugnami Ota which was on display in the Open University Library in 2004. It was filmed at the Open University in Milton Keynes and includes internal and external shots.
Nobody appears on the film except for the public walking past and there is only background noise.
The film focuses mainly on the various sculptures in the exhibition showing them under different lighting and at different angles. Where possible the sculptures have been identified.
The film opens with ‘Buddha Sleep’ which is made from Bath stone. It is a head cradled on a hand.
