Kevin Wilson, Labour Councillor and Leader of Milton Keynes Council 1990-1992 and 1996-2000.

Kevin Wilson was born in Preston, and lived there until going to university and teacher training college. He recalls that during Geography A-level he did a project about new towns and became very interested in the subject; a visiting lecturer came from Milton Keynes to talk about ‘city of a million trees’. Having qualified as a teacher in 1975, he saw an advert for a post at Denbigh School in Bletchley. By the time he came to Milton Keynes, he had already developed his keen interest in politics.
