Bletchley Station staff in front of “Waverley” a Problem class or Lady of the Lake class in c1904. No.806 took part in the 1888 race to the North. Euston to Edinburgh. (Euston to Crewe Section) hauled 80 tons over the 158 miles to Crewe at an average speed of 58 1/4 M.P.H. Built in 1863, was at Bletchley in 1904 and was scrapped at end of that year with broken frame. Note two shunting horses on extreme right and ladies from Refreshment Rooms. No doubt it is Station Master Cliffe in bowler hat on left of the ladies.
