Pascal Cosnuau He/him
Pascal identifies as a gay man and was born in France in 1973. He moved to Milton Keynes in 2000 and his first contact with the local community was a meeting with a volunteer at Pink Punters. He became a regular at The Rose & Castle. He ran a pub night in Northampton and started one at Secklow Hundred. He promoted it via Yo Group, Gaydar and chat rooms. It later moved to Weatherspoon’s and then, post-lockdown, the Talbot Inn. He also organised a breakfast club. He volunteered with Q:Space, joined the management team, then became a Trustee. He also helped with Q:alliance. He organised chocolate parties and took part in Halloween parties. He joined the Gay Outdoor Club walking groups, as a user then as a walk-leader. He found it rewarding to see the impact he had on others and sometimes met people he had helped years before. After leaving Q:alliance, he focused on his pub nights and walking groups. He was part of Celebr8 and was on the protest against the Buju Banton concert in the early 2000s. He had been to many local PRIDEs. He had always found Milton Keynes tolerant. He experienced the local community as a network of people, many of whom had become friends. His most memorable event was the Q-Cabaret held in Wolverton.
