Female born in UK 2008
She was born in Slough in 2008, moved to Pakistan when she was five and came to Milton Keynes when the family returned to the UK. She had lived in Islamabad and Lahore and she saw that Milton Keynes had less pollution and more greenery.
Her family lived in Oxley Park and she did years five and six at Oxley Park Academy. She and her friend used to walk around the parks after school. She liked the local shops, the centre:mk and the cinema in Xscape. She loved cricket and belonged to a sports club in Stony Stratford. Then the family moved to Buckingham.
The biggest change she had seen was more technology: e-scooters, energy-efficient bicycles and robot-things that carried packages.
She didn’t like the roundabouts and wanted more theme parks at Willen Lake. She thought the future lay in green spaces and technologies that used less energy.
Her favourite memory was of a Muslim cultural event at Campbell Park about three years before. She thought the new gallery at the Museum should tell the individual stories of the people who joined in with Milton Keynes.
