Bangladesh is
surrounded by India. It is a low-lying country
largely consisting of the Padma Delta -
the confluence of the major rivers of the
Ganges and the Brahmaputra. It is susceptible
to flooding due to its low height, high
rainfall, strong monsoon winds, and deforestation
in the Himalayas which prevents the soil
from absorbing the rainfall. Bangladesh
is a rich and fertile land. Tea, rice and
jute grow here.
