Discover archive film and our You Tube Channel

Following the MK50 celebrations and our free screening of MK Through the Lens, film screenings at MK50 Anniversary Exhibition at Centre MK and our MK50 Timeline Exhibition at Milton Keynes Central Library we’ve had lots of interest in our film archive.

You can see films created through Living Archive MK’s projects brought to life by archive images and the creative minds of MK residents and artists. Check out our You Tube channel livingarchiveproject or one of our many DVDs that feature magical moments of Milton Keynes early years.

The Wolverton on Film series features films reflecting the history of Wolverton and the district, together with films made by film-makers that live in the area. For example Wolverton on Film Volume 6 features ‘Our Tram’ the story of the Wolverton to Stony Stratford Tram as featured in MK Museum’s Transport Hall.

MK Through the Lens offers a glimpse of the history of our city in moving images compiled from archive footage from 1940s to the present day.

All purchases made through our online shop go directly to continue to preserve and cherish MK past and present so that we can celebrate it in the future.

We are always keen to collect new and old footage of life in Milton Keynes. If you have films, video or tapes with a local interest and would like to share them, we would love to hear from you. Contact the office on 01908 322 568 or email ku.gro.evihcragnivilnull@nimda.
