Living Archive MK are looking forward to being part of the Festival of History at Campbell Park on 17 and 18 June. Come and see us at the Vintage Mobile Cinema where we will be screening a selection of historic film from our archive. We’ll even throw in some popcorn!
Milton Keynes is quite unique in that it’s development has been extensively documented on film both by amateur and professional filmmakers. See footage of the infamous Dial a Bus, adverts selling Milton Keynes to a wider world and the building of the early estates and roads. In addition to that we’ll be showing film footage from the towns and villages that now make up Milton Keynes – such as the last journey of the Newport Nobby train, building of the M1 motorway, VE Day celebrations in Wolverton and much, much more.
The event runs from 12.00 – 5.00 both days
