Newport film-maker records historical development
In the second of three films, local film-maker, Bernard Tompkins, charts the construction of the M1 motorway near Newport Pagnell. In this film we witness the building of the bridge that will carry the motorway traffic over the Wolverton Road on the outskirts of the town.

I watch this Motorway & Bridge being built from the word go as I traveled to work every day from Wolverton to Crawley Road Newport Pagnell 5 days a week in 1958/59.
