Wolverton Town Trail will guide you around some of the landmarks and histories of Wolverton, many of which are interwoven with the history of the railways and of the country. This project includes a mobile app and a series of three leaflets which contain information about places of interest and trails to take you around them.
Much of the material used for MK Trails: Wolverton is drawn from the work of Bryan Dunleavy whose books and website (wolvertonpast.blogspot.co.uk) are an invaluable and wide ranging source of information about Wolverton and its history. This history is also brought to life through the Living Archive’s recordings of interviews with its residents, some of which date back to the 1970s and with people who recall, first hand, events from the late 19th century onwards. The foresight of the Archive’s founders and the generosity of those people who have shared their stories cannot be over stated.
MK Trails: Wolverton project was funded through the Wolverton and Greenleys Town Council and managed by Living Archive Milton Keynes with the assistance of the Wolverton Society for Arts & Heritage.
