Nature reclaims from all that remains of the beautiful gates which once announced the entrance to the Leon recreation grounds from Queensway (Bletchley road ). Bletchley Arms (Halfway House ) in the background.

  • I remember when The Bletchley Arms was a wonderful restaurant, and very luxurious. It was always very busy on a Thursday when the farmers who had come in for the cattle market, would dine there. I have been to Wetherspoon’s since it opened, very nice and very busy.

  • A rose among the thorns!
The old saying “a rolling stone gathers no moss”. A truism for the old “Bletchley Arms” soon (Sept 2017) to become a commendable, but brave gamble, as an addition to the Wetherspoon’s leisure pub empire.
It has had a chequered past but sincere good wishes to Tim Martin Wetherspoon’s CEO.
One of the very few additions with any merit, to Bletchley’s persona in many years.
