He recalls living in Cornwall and describes the county and its history and traditions. He originates from a farming family and describes the family tradition of handbell ringing on New Year’s Eve and the traditional Easter Regatta on the River Fal with Mud racing. He talks about Pea pasties which are special to the area where he lived and how transport was by horse and trap or tractor. Simon Dingle’s special object is a Diddy lamp made from a Second World War shell case by his grandfather who was a metal smith, he also talks about similar lamps that he owns. Recalls places he has visited and favourite places he would like to live in.
