Interview about travelling on the railways.
Agnes Seymour recalls arriving by train in Bletchley with their twin babies; railway staff were helpful with manoeuvring a twin pram. After living in London, she recalls thinking that Bletchley station was ‘very tiny’. Her memories of the railways are only as a passenger, although she and her husband used to take their sons to see the trains. She recalls travelling on the Flying Scotsman as a child during the war, between Glasgow and London, when the train was carrying troops. In the early days of their life in Bletchley she recalls the five shillings special return fare to go down to London for an evening out.
